Who will come to my house?
Shutup Shutters is truly a family business, and you can find out more about us on our About page. Michelle will answer your initial call, and then her husband, Chris, or their son, Elliot, will come out to visit you.

Which geographical areas do you cover?
We’re based in Aylesford, near Maidstone, so we frequently travel to Kings Hill, West Malling, East Malling, Snodland and their surrounding villages, the Medway Towns – Strood, Rochester, Chatham, Gillingham, and Rainham – as well as further over towards Tonbridge, Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells.
We’re happy to travel across Kent and the South East, so if you don’t see your town written above, do give us a call as we’re very flexible.
How much will my plantation window shutters cost?

I’ve not had shutters fitted before. What’s the process? And how long will my shutters take?
All you have to do is make one phone call. Seriously, that’s all it takes for us to –
- Arrange to visit your home at a time convenient to you to discuss all your colour and style options, take those fiddly window measurements and give you a detailed quotation.
- Then, once you have made your decision and paid your initial 50% deposit, we will order your bespoke wooden window shutters for you.
- Delivery usually takes approximately 8-10 weeks, and Michelle will keep you updated at every stage.
- Once your shutters have arrived, Michelle or Chris will contact you to arrange installation.
- On the day of installation, Chris or Elliot will bring everything they need to install your new shutters perfectly. All you need to do is relax and watch them do the hard work.
I’ve got odd-shaped windows. Can I still have plantation window shutters?
Definitely! Here at Shutup Shutters, we love a challenge and specialise in creating bespoke, made-to-measure window coverings for bay windows, floor-to-ceiling expanses and unusually shaped windows. We’re also very happy to visit you to offer our advice.
Do your shutters come with a guarantee?
Yes. Every shutter we supply and fit comes with a special Shutup Shutters 5-year guarantee. Which allows you to enjoy your bespoke shutters, secure in the knowledge that they’ve been made to the highest quality and installed by our expert fitters.
How long will I have to wait for my new shutters?
Once you’ve made your decision and agreed our quote, we ask you to pay a 50% deposit to secure your order. From that date, your window shutters will take approximately 8-10 weeks to arrive. Michelle will keep you updated at every stage and get in touch to arrange your installation as soon as possible.
Is everything I need included in the quote?
Absolutely! Our installation service and product fees are 100% transparent, and the price you are quoted during your at-home consultation is the price you will pay. There are never any hidden surprises.
I’m pretty good at DIY – can I buy your plantation shutters and fit them myself?
Of course! And they can look fantastic; however, they need to be correctly measured and fitted to look great and work properly. So, if you have the skills to fit our plantation shutters yourself, we recommend you gain expert advice from us first to ensure the installation goes smoothly and you avoid making potentially costly mistakes.
